Setting Up Your Login
To create your Internet Banking login, begin by clicking the link provided in the email that your financial institution sent you. Example below:
An Internet Browser will open. According to the financial institution’s preferences, you may be prompted with one of two ways for verification. These are listed by options here.
Option 1: You will be prompted to enter the Security Code that the financial institution provided you. Then click Submit.
Option 2: You will be prompted with questions regarding one of your accounts. This information ensures that it is the account holder that is requesting the login access procedure. Enter the answers exactly as provided by the financial institution.
You will then be prompted to create your user name and password.
- User name allows 4 – 20 characters, alpha or numeric.
- The password convention displays according to your financial institution’s password restrictions.
You are then prompted to select the Security Questions you would like to be associated with the account login. Select your preferred question from each drop-down list and type the answers in the fields provided. Then select Save. The security questions are used for verification at computers that have not been registered or for password resets when passwords have been forgotten.
You are then prompted to enter a Greeting and select an image. The greeting name or text displays with the image when you are logging in. They help you ensure that you are on the appropriate secure website.
You will then need to answer one of your Security Questions again to save your changes.
If this is a non-public computer, you have the option to check Register This Computer.
Note: Do not register public computers, such as those in libraries, schools, or workplaces. When a computer is registered, the security questions are not asked during login.
You will then be prompted to log in for the first time. Notice that your selected Security Image and Greeting is displayed. Type in your password and click Login.
You will be taken to the Internet Banking main screen. See The Main Screen for more information.
